Get the best return on your decommissioned assets.

The faster you unload your used and surplus assets the better the return.  Many end user’s are generally surprised and disappointed when they attempt to sell the expensive hardware that’s been sitting around and they find no buyers or low bids.  Often the equipment is too obsolete for resale, but it is also often that there is already a glut of the same equipment on the market, which means many other have already offloaded their surplus.   Once your IT equipment is decommissioned, call us ASAP.  But keep in mind that it’s difficult for JE to bid on equipment that won’t be available for months. The used market is based on supply and demand. When it’s hot, it’s hot, which may not be the reality in six months. We can't always guarantee bid numbers past 30 days due to market changes so keep in mind “quick decision making is most cost effective.”

Recycle the e-waste – Sell the good stuff!

If you are already working with an asset recovery or recycling company that handles your entire equipment disposal, you may be losing money.  Don’t combine all of your decommissioned hardware into one lot, which is a practice that most likely results in a loss of ROI dollars.  The best way to sell used equipment is to separate the hardware description e.g. servers. network hardware, telecom etc.  Give only the obsolete equipment to the recyclers and sell the equipment that has a continued life cycle separately.
