Sales Tax and Shipping
Sales Tax of 9.75% will be charged on all orders delivered to an address in California unless a reseller’s certificate is provided. The BOE form (linked below) must be complete and emailed or faxed to us prior to shipping to avoid sales tax.
Buyer pays all shipping costs. Orders placed before 3:00pm Pacific Standard Time usually ship same day. Orders processed after 3 pm will ship following day. Lead times are noted in product description. We ship Monday – Friday excluding holidays.
Depending on the ship to address, the Flat Rate shipping delivers within 3 to 7 business days from our California location. We ship packages under 50 lbs via US Postal Service or UPS ground. For large orders freight shipping arrangements will be determined by the buyer.
Overnight or expedited shipping is available for an additional cost and buyer must contact JE Components by phone or email at time of order.
All orders ship FOB from our warehouse in Inglewood CA unless otherwise stated. Flat rate shipping does not apply to Alaska, Hawaii and APO/FPO addresses. Shipping prices may be higher in these areas depending on weight and/or size of the product. Therefore the final shipping cost may be higher than what’s reflected in your shopping cart at the time of checkout. In this case the customer will be contacted by phone or email prior to shipping.
To return a product you must contact us with the reason for return and to obtain a (RMA) number. The following information must be provided when requesting an RMA number:
- Order date and Order number.
- Manufacturer, part number and product serial number.
- Detailed reason for return.
Returns of defective product
Defective product must be returned within the first 30 days from date of purchase and must have a RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization). The RMA will be void if merchandise is not received by PC Surplus within 15 days from the date the RMA number is issued. Any merchandise returned to PC Surplus without an RMA number will be refused. RMA Number must be clearly marked on mailing label, not on shipping box
Returns of non-defective product
Non-defective product is subject to a 20% Restocking Fee and must be returned within the first 30 days from date of purchase. All product(s) must be returned complete and in the original packaging. Returns must be packaged appropriately as to avoid damage during transit. Product(s) damaged during shipment due to poor packaging will invalidate both the warranty and RMA and will be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense. RMA Number must be clearly marked on mailing label, not on shipping box
- Damaged items or missing parts must be reported within 3 days of receipt.
- Shipping fees and/or return shipping costs are non-refundable.
